Youth Leader - Fiona Smith

Fiona Smith - Youth Leader Hi I'm Fiona and I'm so excited to be BUC's new Youth Leader!

When I was a teenager, Barrhaven UC played a large role in my leadership and faith development. I attended youth group, taught Sunday School, and was a counselor with our Summer Bible Camp. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to give back to my Church community.

I love working with young people! I graduated from Trent University with a Biochemistry Degree while concurrently earning my Education Degree from Queen's University. Maybe I'll be your science teacher one day!

I have also been involved as a coordinator at Camp Awesome for 3 years. I loved my job! In fact, I loved it so much that this past summer I came back as Camp Director. In the fall, I look forward to my role as Interim Youth & Young Adult Minister for the Ottawa Presbytery.

In my spare time I like to relax in the sun (summer is my favourite season!), watch movies, watch gLee, read romance or mystery novels, and hang out with friends.

Jr. Youth Group (Grades 6-8) will meet Wednesdays 6:30-8:00pm
Sr. Youth Group (Grades 9-12) will meet Sundays 6:30-8:30pm
